Fragments in Motion - Barcelona Pavilion Study
Inspired by the iconic Barcelona Pavilion by Mies van der Rohe and Lilly Reich, Fragments in Motion is a hands-on reinterpretation of modernist principles such as structural separation, transparency, and asymmetry. Crafted entirely by hand, this model allowed for a deeper understanding of spatial relationships through tactile experimentation. The process of physically building each element—walls, planes, and roofs—highlighted the importance of precision and material behavior, reinforcing the idea that architecture is as much felt as it is seen. Through overlapping surfaces and varying roof heights, the design evokes a sense of movement and unfolding space, inviting the viewer to experience architecture not as a static form, but as a fluid journey of perspective and transition.
