Campus Café – First-Year Design Project
As part of our first-year studio, we were challenged to design a café for the University of Miami campus, with a focus on circulation, program, and context. The site was positioned along the edge of the campus lake, and our design incorporated a dramatic overhang that projected out over the water, creating a unique spatial and visual experience for users. The project concluded with the construction of a detailed physical model done by hand, which helped us study form, structure, and materiality while enhancing our foundational skills in architectural representation and design thinking.
