Hemeroscopium House – First Year Design Project
For this project, we studied the Hemeroscopium House by Ensamble Studio, focusing on its bold structural composition and spatial experimentation. The assignment required creating detailed hand-drafted plans, sections, and elevations to fully understand the complexity of the design. In addition to the drawings, we constructed a physical model using wood built by hand as well, which allowed us to explore the house’s tectonics and balance in three dimensions. This hands-on process deepened our appreciation for structural logic and material expression.
